One of the leading individuals on international arbitration, international investment law and investor-state disputes in Lithuania and the Baltic region.
Dr. Rimantas Daujotas is disputes partner at Motieka & Audzevicius law firm. Rimantas is international disputes counsel, arbitrator and expert. Rimantas has extensive experience in international arbitration disputes, in particular, ones arising under bilateral and multilateral investment treaties and high-value commercial agreements. Rimantas represents company claimants and respondents as well as government claimants and respondents. Rimantas is advising global companies, foreign governments and international law firms.
In addition to international and high value arbitration work, Rimantas works on high profile international litigations in the Baltics and Scandinavian region as well as the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Court of Human Rights and is advising companies on trade, construction, energy, investment, regulatory and transactional matters.
Rimantas is one of the leading individuals on international investment law and investor-state disputes in Lithuania and the Baltic region.
Rimantas has successfully defended his PhD thesis at Queen Mary University’s School of International Arbitration. Rimantas also holds separate PhD degree on international investment law from Vilnius University. Rimantas also holds degrees on international relations and geopolitics from Cambridge University and has studied at Harvard Business School. Rimantas was invited as a visiting scholar at Columbia Law School and the National University of Singapore. Rimantas also holds law master degree from the University of Edinburgh and has studied international arbitration at the Paris Arbitration Academy, the ICC and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Rimantas is also a prolific author on international law, international investment law and international arbitration. Rimantas is also a lecturer of international investment law and arbitration at Vilnius University.
Rimantas’ working languages are English, with (basic) Russian, (basic) French and (native) Lithuanian.
